Founded by South African theatre legend, Dr. John Kani, JKA is a non-profit training institution offering high-level, advanced courses for qualified and experienced artists in the creative industries.
We serve professionals in theatre, film and television. The writers, directors, performers and those behind the scenes – who bring their craft to life on the stage and screen and who are ready to sharpen their craft, elevate their impact, and uphold the standard of South African storytelling on global stages.
JKA is not an entry-level academy. It is a space of refinement – where those already working in the creative arts come to stretch, grow and challenge their practice under the guidance of masters.
WE SERVE ARTISTS WHO:
- Have a minimum of 2 – 3 years professional experience in their specific arts genre.
